Anone have this with their issues

Over the last few weeks I have started having muscle spasms in my legs, arms and other areas. They are not what I would call painful but they get pretty frequent at times, plus I have also started having some increased salavation at times.

Anyone else have any of these symptoms?

Can you be a bit more specific? Are they bad achy legs, are they tired legs? Sounds like what I get with the so called chronic fatigue syndrome I am supposed to have as well as MAV, not sure what is causing what. Do you get really tired after doing something physical?

No they do not ache but they do spasm and twitch on a daily bases. I do get up and get around but when these hit it is a little more difficult. I do have to rest a little more than I used to but I would not say it is severe, of course I do not do the things I used to due to being out of work since August.

I think I am going to ask the doctor about seeing a specialist to see if they can find out what this is all about maybe if I catch it in time it will not get as bad as some of the other symptoms I have had.

What do you do for your chronic fatigue syndrome?

I have mild twitches, for example my eyelid was twitching for an entire day. I also get twitching in my legs etc. but its very mild and not really bothersome.

I did feel all my symptoms in only one leg for a couple of minutes when I was lying down. It was so strange. felt like it was a drill.

Am still trying to get to the cause of it. After all, CFS is just a name for a group of symptoms. Mostly keep up with the research. Have tried loads of stuff in the past and private drs. I just sometimes wonder if MAV and CFS are part of the same syndrome, as many, on the boards with MAV seem to have the symptoms of CFS also, especailly the flue like virusy symptoms. Your leg symptoms dont sound like CFS. With CFS its rheumaticky achy leadlike legs, really tired feeling.

Are you taking magnesium, this would help the muscles.

I have been but I am going to try the Calm I put in another thread which is a magnesium citrate but is supposed to have better absorption rate.

Plus it is supposed to be really good for the leg issues, worth a try.

Are you by any chance on a diuretic? This can cause muscle spasms, I think it is because of the depletion of potassium. But if you are not on one obviously this wouldn’t be the cause of your problem.

Yes, I get the muscle twitching too. In the shoulders, biceps, legs, fingers, and in the face. I get them at various times of the day, tired or non-tired. I’ve gotten them all of my life, and never worried about them. From what I have read, they are semi-common in people with migraines.

I take Magnesium Glycinate. It is easier on the digestive tract and helps with muscle spasms. I take 400mg 2x a day. If I am headachy, I take more.
I have done this more many years. My last bone density test puts me off the charts in a good way for my age. The doctor thinks its because I have supplemented magnesium, whatever, I am thrilled I have the bones of a 20 something. Now if I could just get the rest of me on the same page…
