What meds compliment Amitriptyline?

Hi all. I’ve seen a new Neurologist since I last posted. We tried adding Candesartan (a blood pressure medication) but it didn’t improve my symptoms at all and dropped my blood pressure a bit too low. I’m now trying Epilim (Valproate) and seem to be tolerating it well so far. Not on full dose yet. Two weeks on 200mg then I go up to 400mg. Doc says it will take a while on the full dose to see some effects. And I’m definitely being mindful about eating and exercising to avoid more weight gain (Epilim is notorious for weight gain too).

I’ll report back to let you know how I go on the Epilim once I’m at the higher dose for a few weeks.

I did try to reduce the Ami dose (from 75mg to 62.5mg) and I had a dramatic increase in vertigo symptoms after a few days. It’s clear the Ami is helping but I’m not game to try to lower the dose again until I see how the new drug goes.
