Due to some recent testing I have tested positive for the Chlamydia Pneumoniae bacteria. This is NOT the STD, but the Chlamydia that can give you a nasty lung infection among other bad things - or it can be largely asymptomatic.
Backtracking various obscure symptoms I can only assume it’s been a long lasting infection that it turns out, has wreaked havoc on my immune system. It’s been quite a big reveal for me. There is some evidence emerging that this bug can be linked to CFS and MS and people on long term antibiotics have reported to improved their symptoms (www.cpnhelp.org).
Now I don’t have a diagnosis of MS or CFS, but some symptoms do overlap with MAV. I’m not sure, but I would be interested in if there could be some link between this bug and triggering MAV in some people too…? Nothing turns up on the web .
