Are you better now or do you still need to see Dr Surenthiran?
I am so thankful to a Gp at my local surgery that recognised some of my symptoms and knew of Dr S specialism. I had to pay to see him as there is a long queue on the nhs, and we where so worried about what was happening with me. The first appointment, was just as you described it Jem, and it was a relief to be understood, that was on August 3rd. Today I saw Dr S for the second time at the Medway Maritime Hospital, 7th October on the nhs.
I had a fairly good summer, the diet and the meds where starting to help and by the time we went on holiday to Cornwall for two weeks I only had two badish days. But on returning to my job as a TA in reception class and having to deal with a child with severe needs, which gave me stress and sleepless night put me right back to square one. So Dr S has signed me off until the end of October, but We have decided that I am going to resign, because the school has done nothing very much to help me, even though I had told them my limitation and that I was getting very stressed and feeling ill again.
Dr S has asked me to take part in a research study to find out more about the brains vestibular system and its role in day today functions like memory, mood and sleep. So today I did some cognitive tests for 90 minutes, and I was very tired after, next week when I go on Monday I might get to see what the results were, I’ll let you know. Yes so next week I go to have more tests for this research, but this time on balance ( not looking forward to that) and I will also see Dr S again, and I’ll let you know what happened during the balance testing!
